1. At first position we put of course Livadia Palace in Yalta. Every one who comes to Yalta and interested in history must visit Livadia.
Worldwide known place for Crimea (Yalta) Comference in 1944, white-stone elegant building, former Russian Tsars’ residence, picturesque view on the Black Sea and charming park area with ancient trees.
2. Balaclava is our second position, but it’s really extraordinary place: top-secret Black Sea fleet underground complex, best fish cafes as the Turkish translation of Balaclava – Fish bay, fortress Chembalo with outstanding view from it – picturesque bay and majestic shores of the Black Sea, for history lovers -place of bloody battles during Crimear war. 3. Chersonesos in Sevastopol, former Greek settlement, grand ruins and huge museum (in English as well). In summer the theatre performs at a real Greek stage. Chersonesus is one of the 7 miracles of Ukraine. The biggest cathedral of Crimea (St Vladimir Cathedral) is located also on the territory of Chersonesos. It commemorates the presumed place of St. Vladimir’s baptism. 4. Swallow’s Nest Castle (Yalta) is the unique visit card of Crimea. The best view on the Swallow’s Nest Castle is from the sea. To get to the castle is better by boat from Yalta, and some travel companies offer cruises Sevastopol – Swallow’s Nest – Yalta.
5. Khan’s Palace in Bakhchisarai, of course this palace is in our top 5. Former capital of Crimean Khan. The palace is unique, firstly because of great influence of Tatar culture on Crimea. The surroundings won’t leave you calm, there are stone huge fingers, kings and their daughters. Nearby is the Orthodox Dormition Monastery with healing icons.
